The Blue Boar Inn History

The Blue Boar Inn was built back in the 1940’s and completed in the latter part of the second world war.  It was built behind the original Blue boar which was a lot smaller in comparison, once the new building was built the old was was demolished and at the time the road outside was the A5 and the new Blue Boar Inn became a very busy pub.

After a series of landlords, The Blue Boar was bought by the Sperrin Brothers Craig, Warren and Treeve in April 1997. Churchills restaurant was opened at Christmas 1997 boasting 100 seats. Bed and breakfast accomodation opened in 2001.

Today we are a very well establised restaurant serving excellent home cooked food.  Our bars serve a variety of drinks along with our very own Sperrin Beers.

Pop in and see us! You’ll receive a warm welcome.
